Yinka Ilori
$215
For his newest limited edition artwork, Yinka looks to the Yoruba language spoken by the people of Western Nigeria. Translating to greediness, the word “ojukokoro” can be broken down and interpreted as the human desire to always want more. The game of basketball requires the opposite, it’s a team sport which calls for its players to succeed working with what they already have – it has mindfulness at its core.
This bright and colourful artwork blends the meaning of “ojukokoro” with basketball’s grounded mindset. Yinka encourages us to find happiness in the now and gratitude for all that already exists in our lives.
Only 200 basketballs have been produced.
Individually digitally printed, each basketball comes in an exclusive bundle including a pump, tote bag and certificate of authenticity.
